Happy New Year!

Because of many other tasks besides / instead of making mail art, I still didn't have the opportunity to wish all dear mail art colleagues a happy new year.
So I am extra happy to have found these new year's wishes in my mailbox. Made and sent by, respectively, Amuldo and Nico van Hoorn.
Hereby I am wishing all of you blog readers a very happy, creative, healthy, beautiful 2013!

P.S. If you happen to be or travel close to the south of the Netherlands, be sure to check Amuldo's exhibition of mail art books in Art.Room in the city of Roermond, the Netherlands.

Uitnodiging voor / invitation to Amuldo's tentoonstelling / exhibition.

Stamp collage

Stempel collage, door verschillende kunstenaars. Voor de bijbehorende namen, zie hieronder.
Resultaat van een workshop stempels-uit-gummen-snijden bij Gertie Jaquet (bekend van haar boekillustraties en van 'a stamp a day').

Rubber stamp collage, made by various artists. Result of the stamp carving workshop, run by Gertie Jaquet (book illustrator and you might know her by her 'a stamp a day' project).
See below for the names of the participants.

(p.s. Eva: you see I did not create the tea cup!.. Instead I made the coffee mug, but forgot to write my name there, too :-) )

Verrassing van Botje

[to read the English text, please scroll down]

Een grote verrassing in mijn brievenbus. Dankjewel, Botje!

A big surprise in my mailbox, made and sent by Botje from Wageningen, the Netherlands.
It took many days for me to publish this postcard, as I had to think a lot about the way I would do so. Because from every side seen, the card is different. And when you shake the card, it changes again!
So above I made a triptych (plus one), so you can see various of the great artistamps. Which were gathered in one postcard!
Thank you very much, dankjewel, Botje!

Wants to see the manager

Finally I finished and sent my reply to the beautiful illustration which I received from Suus in Mokum, eight months ago.
Above on the right you can see 'Mail Snail 2', and on the left my answer to the request Suus wrote on her envelope (see below, translated freely: the varnish interacted with the paint, obviously a good reason to request to see the manager :-)

Turquoise sky

Moltes gràcies, Eva, and also bon any for you, too!

Received from Eva, these pretty collages with lots of my favourite colour in it!
And she knows I love the postage stamps (although she might not know that I collect stringed instruments!?), showing the Indian Sitar and the Spanish (Cantabrian) Rabel.
Thank you very much, Eva!
