Added to and returned (2): E-mail art

I appear to be rather slow in replying to add-and-return projects in snail mail. Meanwhile I surprised myself (and maybe dear Fraenz Frisch, too) by replying to this email add-and-return request within a few hours!
This collage has been composed by Keith Bates, Fraenz himself, RCBz, Paul Tiililä and me.

More information about this, recently started, e-mail art project by Fraenz Frisch you can read here.

Added to and returned (1)

In the past years I received several nice add-and-return-to mail art. And I must apologize that I am very much behind in adding and returning... I'll try to add-to and return asap, but to the people who are waiting for my reply (like E [Cavellini], Adamandia [tv-screen], Koos de Jonge [art book], Amuldo [folded booklet] and Lubomyr [Stamps Heart]): please have a little - or a lot - more patience!..

The funny thing of add-and-return mail (or add and pass on, in this case, Laura's request was) is that I don't always know which part(s) to add to.

Many months ago I received mail art from Laura Daniels from the UK: two nice drawings and some other pieces (which might have been the ones to add-to?!?).
However, I choose to stick one of the two drawings completely to a larger blue piece of paper, to which I added a drawing (a drawing which I never would have been able to create without the inspiration of Laura's mailed art!). And in addition I drew some copies of the, er, balloons, flowers?, from Laura's other design on the envelope.

Thank you very much, Laura! Hope you'll like the additions!

An other add-and-return-to/pass-on project is Ruud Janssen's 'stamp collage' project for the TAM rubberstamp archive. I stamped these to add them to my mail for Laura. Looking forward to knowing what wil be added to these!

I still can't see it!

Help!

Always nice to receive mail art via snail mail. However... it's frustrating when one doesn't know who the sender was. And from where? The UK, according to the stamp? One second I thought it might have been sent from the MyRealWall Head Quarter. But I'm not sure... Help!

'n Kaartje van Elena en Andy!

Received from Elena and Andy, also known from the Quilling projects and other crafts, and from My Real Wall, respectively, and both also Mail Art 365 artists.

Yes! Post from Andy and Elena

Post from the UK, made and sent by Elena - famous for her Quilling Projects - and Andy - My Real Wall - Hoang!

A beautiful card (the scanner alas cannot reproduce how it feels and glitters) made by Elena.

Plus an Andy pencil drawing, and for the ones who ask themselves 'What is quilling?', see the picture on the right, which is the back side of Elena's visiting card.

Plus a special decorated envelop, on which the mail company left traces, for unknown reasons (the address was/is right - but of course it's always fun when the Mail adds paper to our mail arts!)

Thank you very much indeed, Elena and Andy!

Zalop - Lopza

Is this graffity on a real wall, or just on an envelope?

Anyway, 'Zalop' seems to gain ground, although I prefer 'Lopza'.
Sent to - a real wall in - the U.K.

Received from Andy T Geezer

My very first two received Mailart 365 works of Mail Art reached me within 48 hours! First Erin Fae surprised me with a real weird animal.
And now this great work of mail art reached my mailbox!
With a thin stamp mark added by Royal Mail.

Drawn and sent by Andy, well-known by My Real Wall.

Thanks a lot, Andy, what a big surprise to see such a beautiful pen drawing, made by you! I don't know why you ever could have hesitated to, or was waiting to start to put pen to paper, as you've got talent!!!

(p.s. I hope the written calligraphic words will say something good and not be offensive!? :o) )

More about the picture you can find here, and here.

Received from Okadascat

A rather unusual mail art object came into my postbox: Knitting Art!
Made by Okadascat as an answer to my contributions to Okadascat's I Like Purple mail art project.

About Knitting Art there is a lot to say. Thanks to Okadascat and to other mail artists I learned that knitting can be used for all kinds of art purposes, like Kniffity, and even you can replace nature by Knitted Flora.

And this beautiful envelope covered the cool brooch...

... a brick wall envelope which for some reason made me think of an other zealous mail artist: Andy, of course, the founder of the Real Wall.

How nice to see the circle is round (or: the world is small): on Andy and Elena's Real Wall there is a lot of Knitting Art from Okadascat!

Thanks a lot, Okadascat, for your brooch, stamps and your kind message!

Received from Okadascat

This beautiful turquoise Cat was made and sent by Okadascat, as an answer to my contribution to the I-like-purple project.

Thank you so much, Okadascat, I really appreciate your fine my-favourite-color drawing!
