Groeten uit Nijmegen!

't Is jammer dat ik hier geen geluid kan toevoegen, maar ik kan zeggen dat ik geniet van de geluiden van de stadswandeling die Nico van Hoorn maakte in Nijmegen. Bovenstaand de bijbehorende cd-hoes kunnen jullie in ieder geval wel zien.
Hieronder de begevoegde kaart (een stadsgezicht?!), en daaronder twee kaarten die ik eerder ontving: 'Streep op muur in Nijmegen', en een print met - nu ik er zo over nadenk - misschien een raderboot uit Nijmegen?

Alas I cannot add sound to this blog, so the only thing I can tell is that I'm enjoying the sounds of the city walk Nico van Hoorn made in the beautiful city of Nijmegen. Above you see the cover of the cd Nico sent to me.
Below the accompanying card (a city view?!) and below this one, two cards I received previously: 'Stripe on wall in Nijmegen' and a print which - I think now - might show a paddle-steamer in Nijmegen?

Triceratops & Escher

Fragment van een kaart, verzonden naar een Postcrosser die van dinosauriërs houdt. Helaas kon ik geen kaart van een dinosaurus vinden, daarom maar zelf deze triceratops toegevoegd.
En op de voorzijde een prent van de Nederlandse graficus en kunstenaar M.C. Escher (1898-1972), die veel bijzondere werken maakte (zie onderstaande afbeelding, maar híj verstuurde ze, voor zover ik weet, niet per post!).

Part of a card, sent to a Postcrosser who loves dinosaurs. Alas I couldn't find a dinosaur-postcard so I was happy to add this triceratops to the back side.
On the front side - see below - a lithograph of the Dutch graphic artist M.C. Escher (1898-1972) who made lots of amazing graphic work (but he didn't send any, as far as I know, by mail!).
