Rubber Stamp Archive (TAM)

One of the characteristics of mail art I like a lot, is the phenomena 'rubber stamps'. You can design them and have them made professionally by companies, or you can carve them out of erasers.

In 1983 Ruud Janssen founded the TAM Rubber Stamp Archive.
Some months ago also I was invited to add my stamps to the archive: I received blanc stamp sheets which I could print my own stamps to and then return. So most of my elder rubberstamps have been archivated now.
Meanwhile Ruud sent me blanc collage sheets, to add my stamps to, and to pass these stamped sheets on to other mail artists, who then can add and return the completed version to Ruud's Rubber Stamp Archive. Above you see few new - handcarved - rubber stamps, and one of the collage sheets (alors "E", s'il vous plaît!).

Update 19-8-2012: De collage is compleet! The collage is completed! Zie / see insomniesetartpostal.blogspot.nl/2012/08/envoi-de-e-ruud-janssen-hollande_18.html.

Received months ago, from "E" from Utopia / France, as a reply to this parcel.
Are you curious to know what's inside of it? So am I! Believe it or not, the parcel still remained unopened. And enjoyed a lot - merci beaucoup, "E"!

Received from "E"

As an answer to my Mona Lisa Triste for the Gallery of La Joconde, I received this special "E"-style Mona Lamp/Bulb.

Amazing, isn't it?

See for two new calls for mail art projects on the website of "E": "Envoyez-moi votre âme" and "Y-a-t'il une vie avant la mort?".

Merci beaucoup, "E"!

Mona Triste

Sent to the Galerie des Mona.

The Parrot

The pencil sketch was ready but it took many months to be finished with pen and colour. Finally too late for the Nick Bantock mail art project. So I finished it my own way, and in red and black to send this Parrot to France.

(The best, coolest prize of course is to get room between all mail artists on the gallery of honour of Utopia's Embassador, "E"!)

Stamps in Stamp (1): Composition in Red, Black and White,

(2) "Sending out messages in 5 bottles (out of a hundred billion)", voor Patrizia.
